Implications for Workplace
The Skills Approach can used/seen within the workplace for a number of different reasons. Many of the various reasons can be used by both the employer and employee in order to help improve leadership within the workplace.

The Skills Approach...
- provides valuable information about leadership in general, while defining the skills of a leader. Employers can take this information in order to teach their staff about leadership and their role in the workplace. In addition, employers can take this information to see what candidate may be best for certain job roles.
- is beneficial within the workplace as leaders of all levels can use it.
- allows both employees and employers to recognize their strengths and weaknesses in regard to technical, human, and conceptual skills.
- within the workplace could provide training opportunities (package or program). Northouse (2013) has indicated that there are numerous programs, however, none of this stand point (p. 60). This program would teach about leadership skills from this approach while including the important aspects of listening, creative problem solving, conflict resolution, and more.
